Current Livestream / A/V System

Documented Sept. 28, 2026

Overland Church of Christ uses several pieces of audio, video, monitoring, computer, and network equipment together to produce the church livestream. The photos below document the equipment and observed connections as they were configured on Sept. 28, 2026.

1. Audio Mixing

The Yamaha DM3 digital mixing console handles the audio side of the production. Microphones and other church audio sources are mixed here, and the resulting program audio is sent to the Datavideo production system through balanced XLR connections. This allows the livestream to use the same carefully mixed audio rather than relying on a camera microphone.

2. Video Switching and Livestream Encoding

The Datavideo HS-1600T Mark II Mobile Cast is the core of the video production system. It receives the camera feeds over HDBaseT, lets the operator choose which camera is on-air, combines the selected video with the incoming audio, and provides the dedicated network STREAM connection used for the outbound livestream.

3. Video Monitoring

A Datavideo TLM-700HD V2 auxiliary monitor is also present at the production position. It provides an additional local video display so the operator can monitor a camera feed, preview/program output, or another production source depending on how the system is configured.

4. Production Workstation

An HP desktop workstation with an HP display and Logitech keyboard/mouse is located at the livestream position. The photos document its presence and cabling, but its exact software role in the livestream workflow has not yet been confirmed. The hardware Datavideo system appears capable of performing the primary video switching and outbound livestream encoding without requiring the Windows PC for that specific function.

5. Overall Production Position

The production position brings the audio mixer, video switcher/encoder, monitors, workstation, power, and network connections together in one operating area. This overview photo is useful as a record of the complete installation before future network or A/V changes.

How the Livestream System Works as a Unit

  1. Church audio is mixed. Microphones and other audio sources are combined on the Yamaha DM3. A program mix is then sent by balanced XLR cable to the audio inputs on the Datavideo HS-1600T.
  2. Camera video reaches the switcher. The connected cameras feed the HS-1600T over HDBaseT. Two HDBaseT camera inputs were connected when the system was documented on Sept. 28.
  3. The operator produces the program. Using the Datavideo switcher, the operator selects the active camera, previews other sources, and controls cuts or transitions. The Datavideo combines the selected video with the incoming mixed audio.
  4. Local monitors provide feedback. The integrated Datavideo display, the separate TLM-700HD V2 monitor, and other connected video outputs allow the operator to see program, preview, or other production feeds.
  5. The finished program is streamed to the Internet. The Datavideo's STREAM Ethernet port connects the production system to the church network. With the new UniFi UDR7/Spectrum network, this Ethernet path provides the Datavideo with LAN and Internet connectivity for the outbound livestream.
  6. The HP workstation supports the production position. It is physically part of the livestream station, although its exact current role should be confirmed before documenting it as essential to the streaming path.

Observed signal flow:
Church microphones/audio sources → Yamaha DM3 → XLR audio → Datavideo HS-1600T
Cameras → HDBaseT → Datavideo HS-1600T
Datavideo HS-1600T → local monitors/video outputs
Datavideo HS-1600T STREAM Ethernet → UniFi church network → Spectrum Internet → streaming service
